Election Results: We Won!!!
Thank you to everyone who voted for CORY ELLENSON, and thank you to everyone who contributed financially, displayed a yard sign, endorsed our campaign, or otherwise worked hard to spread the word and get out the vote!
It is truly an honor and a privilege to be chosen by the citizens of Glendora to serve our community and our students in this capacity. I will work very hard to be the best board member I can be. -Cory
Thank you for visiting my website. I am very excited to be running this year because there is an open seat on the Board, as one of the incumbents is not seeking reelection. Also, I am endorsed by the two incumbents who are seeking reelection, Chuck Gomer and Mike Gautreau, as well as the mayor of Glendora and all city council members. As a lifelong resident and product of Glendora schools, I am eager to apply all that I have learned and experienced since graduating from Glendora High School to benefit our current students.
Public education is moving forward in this country. The stated goal of the federal and state departments of education is better preparation for a competitive, global society. This has always been my goal for the students of Glendora Unified, and was the motivating force behind my first run for Glendora School Board in 2011.
I have experienced firsthand the rigorous competition in modern college admissions, demands of college courses, and difficulty securing a job in a tough economy. I want to share what I have learned and experienced with the next generation of Glendora graduates to better prepare them to meet these challenges with success.
The Glendora School Board is ready for someone with a fresh perspective and new ideas, someone who is in touch with students and knows firsthand the challenges they are facing. My skills and experience in law and accounting make me a valuable addition to the Glendora School Board. I am well qualified to address all educational issues from the unique perspective of a tax attorney with an accounting background.
Not only is Glendora my past, it is my family’s future. As a third-generation Glendoran and GHS graduate, I am passionate about preparing EVERY student, whether college-bound or not, from kindergarten through 12th grade, for success in a rapidly changing, highly competitive, global economy.
Thank you for your vote on November 5th.
